Songs that introduced me to my favorite artists

We hear music everywhere and we don't always make a big deal about it. But every so often there is a song that makes us stop and listen. A song that opens a gate to more songs when we decide we want to hear more from this band/ artist. So here are the stories of how I found my favorite artists and the first song I liked of theirs.

" for you and your denial"- Yellowcard

I bought an album called " another hopeless summer". The only reason I bought it is that it was only $2.99( I think). A vey good deal. With this album , I was introduced to many different artists ( which also includes another one of my favorites , We are the in crowd,).
I was attracted to the song above because of its fast pace , poetic lyrics and mostly the violin. At the time I had never heard violin outside of the classical genre until then. I really like it.

"Terrible things " - Mayday parade

This is a song a friend in my first hour senior year said I needed to listen to. I started listening to it and I thought "who is he singing this to? "I thought he was singing to a girl his age until he said "when I met your mother the girl of my dreams". I was like "what?" Haha! Anyway I found out later he was singing to his son. It's a sweet song but then it gets sad. It always makes me want to cry and that's the power of music.

" ignorance" - Paramore

This is a band that I've heard before this song came out but I didn't pay much attention to them. It's kind of sad. Anyway, I first heard this song on a Karaoke video game I have. I played this song quite often and it is a song that effected my change in singing style.

" you had me at hello " - a day to remember

I found this song on YouTube after listening to another song by the same title from a disney channel movie ( don't judge me).
At the time I was falling in love with the boy I am currently with so I  related to It a little .Its a bit softer than the rest of the  band's music but that's ok , I like both types they play.

I think that is enough story telling for now, I'll tell more about my music taste later. I encourage everyone to explore music and find their own style.

Rock on ,
-Adorkable Darling
